1. How early do I need to arrive at the airport before my flight?
All passengers are required to check in 60 minutes prior to scheduled departure time. International flights will close 30 minutes prior to departure. Domestic flights close 15 minutes prior to departure. Passengers who arrive after a flight has closed may be denied boarding.

2. What kind of documentation do I need?
A valid passport is required for travel and is the only acceptable form of identification. Non U.S. Citizens, with the exception of Canada, will also be required to have a visa. Birth certificates, social security cards, voter registration cards, or any similar type of identification will not be accepted.

3. What are my limits or restrictions on luggage?

On chartered flights, that depends on the type of aircraft, number of passengers and amount of luggage. Fewer passengers generally offer more room for bags. Baggage is most easily accommodated if it is in several soft sided bags. Surf/Snow boards or golf clubs can normally be accommodated. All luggage is subject to the captain’s discretion.

On scheduled flights, each passenger (excluding infants) is, subject to certain restrictions and captain’s discretion, allotted up to 35 pounds of luggage.  Excess baggage is subject to weight and space availability, at the captain’s discretion.  If permitted, additional baggage will be charged at $2.50 per pound.  We suggest that you pack your items in the soft style carry-on type bags or duffel bags. All coolers should be limited to 28 quart capacity. Please see our Contract for Carriage for complete details.

5. I don’t have a passport. How do I get one?
Your local post office will be able to provide you with an application, or point you to the closest post office which has them. 7. Do I need to turn my laptop and cell phone off during take-off like on a commercial flight?
Yes. The Captain will advise when you can use your electronic devices once in flight.

8. What cities/airports do you fly into?
We routinely fly throughout the Eastern part of the United States and to the Bahamas, but we also fly throughout the continental United States. Our clients often prefer to avoid the congestion and inconvenience of large airports and instead choose smaller airports closer to their destination. What city and airport you fly to is entirely up to you!

9. What do air charter services cost?
Pricing is based on several circumstances:  1) Type of aircraft (Each type of aircraft is charged differently).  2) Location of drop off and pick up (there is a repositioning fee for flights not originating out of our base, New Smyrna Beach, FL).  3) Same day round trip, which includes up to 4 hours on the ground.  4) Unrestricted Round Trip, allowing a return on a subsequent day and 5) Expenses for landing/facility fees, pilot per diem/lodging and various taxes. 10. Do I need to get to the airport early and can I depart any time I want?
The great thing about chartering an aircraft is we are on your time.  Subject to some requirements with respect to foreign flights, once a departure and return time is agreed upon, you can show up just long enough to get your bags loaded and you are on your way!  For foreign arrival locations, you must arrive at the airport one (1) hour prior to your departure time.

12. Can I bring pet/pets? Is there a charge?

AirGate does not charge for pets to travel with their owners, however, your pets’ weight will be counted toward your allowable baggage weight. AirGate requires cats to be in carriers. Dogs that are hyper, unruly and certain breeds may be required to be in kennels and will be loaded at the Captain’s discretion. In consideration of fellow passengers, please ensure the cleanliness of your pets. For any questions, please check with your AirGate representative prior to departure date.
